Welcome to Exiled Voices for Justice.

Mahatma Gandhi, the pre-eminent political and spiritual leader, has inspired non-violent social protests against injustice, worldwide. Exiled Voices for Justice, a series of critically-acclaimed documentary films and panel discussions, has been organized in Gandhi’s honor.

Today, 33 million people live in exile, forced to flee their native land due to their ethnicity or their political or religious beliefs. Their stories – stories of sacrifice, struggle, and resilience – deserve to be told. Their voices, heard. The purpose of this series is:

  • To increase awareness of the plight and triumphs of refugees and asylees.
  • To connect and empower (potential) advocates of social justice.
  • To galvanize meaningful change.

Right before and right after each screening/discussion, non-profits working on behalf of the vulnerable populations portrayed will exhibit literature about their initiatives and opportunities for attendees to get involved.

Admission to all Exiled Voices for Justice events is free of charge. However space is limited. First come, first served.
