Rebekah Fletcher
As the Children’s Attorney with Volunteer Advocates for Immigrant Justice (VAIJ), in Seattle, Rebekah recruits and mentors pro bono attorneys to represent unaccompanied immigrant children before the Immigration Court and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and dependency court. She also provides some direct representation. Prior to joining VAIJ, Rebekah was a caseworker in the California foster care system and worked in international adoption. She is a 2007 graduate of The City University of New York School of Law. During law school she represented clients in deportation proceedings through CUNY’s Main Street Legal Services, and interned at the New York Immigration Court, deportation defense firm Bretz&Coven, Human Rights Watch, Lawyers for Children, and with a New York City Child Protective Judge.
